AMENDATORY 70 O.S. 2011, Section 18-109.6, is | | | 15|amended to read as follows: | | | 16| Section 18-109.6. A. The State Board of Education shall review | | | 17|the pupil grade level weights, district weights and pupil category | | | 18|weights which form a part of the school funding formula using the | | | 19|results of the educational cost accounting system now in place and | | | 20|shall make recommendations for revisions to such weights to the | | | 21|Governor, the Speaker of the House of Representatives

1| B. The recommendations of the State Board of Education required | | | 2|by subsection A of this section shall take into consideration
the| | | 3| findings and recommendations of the report of the Special Joint| | | 4| Committee on School Finance, created pursuant to Section 45 of| | | 5| Enrolled House Bill No. 1035 of the 1st Session of the 40th Oklahoma| | | 6| Legislature, in addition toany otherinformation the Board | | | 7|determines relevant to such review, including but not limited to | | | 8|input from experts in the field of education finance. The Board is | | | 9|directed to pay particular attention to a review of the pupil | | | 10|category weights ,and shoulddetermine whether the creation of other | | | 11|weights is warranted. | | | 12| C. In addition to the review and recommendations required by| | | 13| subsection A of this section, the State Board of Education shall| | | 14| review that part of the State Aid formula which provides for a| | | 15| midterm supplement in State Aid to school districts. The Board| | | 16| shall make recommendations in a report regarding revisions to or| | | 17| elimination of the provisions for such supplement to the Governor,| | | 18| the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the President Pro| | | 19| Tempore of the Senate on or before September 1, 1990. On or before| | | 20| September 1, 1990, the Board shall send a copy of the report to the| | | 21| administrator of each school site in the state.| | | 22| SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2017. | | | 23| SECTION 3.
