NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified | | | 18|in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 13-116 of Title 70, unless there | | | 19|is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows: | | | 20| This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Bryan Young | | | 21|Act". | | | 22| SECTION 2. As used in this section, "corporal punishment" means the | | | 2|deliberate infliction of physical pain by hitting, paddling, | | | 3|spanking, slapping or any other physical force used as a means of | | | 4|discipline. | | | 5| B. School district personnel shall be prohibited from using | | | 6|corporal punishment on students with disabilities unless addressed | | | 7|in an annual Individualized Education Program (IEP). | | | 8| SECTION 3.
